About the scholarship This scholarship is funded by an Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage-Projects grant from Griffith University, and its objective is to develop methods for building and testing large-scale dependable systems, and Systems of Systems. The aim of this research project is to develop an effective tool-supported method for re-engineering obsolete systems using Behaviour Engineering. The method should establish the integrated behaviour of obsolete systems as represented by behaviour trees, composition trees and their interfaces so that they may be integrated into new systems that are also modelled using behaviour trees and composition trees. This project will involve a challenging combination of theoretical development, tool development, and working collaboratively with our partner organisations: the University of Queensland, Raytheon Australia, and KJ Ross and Associates. Scholarship value and duration This scholarship will provide support for three years full-time study for a candidate working towards a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
