  Job Description
Under the general guidance of the FAO Representative (FAOR) in Pakistan and of the Senior Emergency and Rehabilitation Coordinator, under the supervision of the National Project Manager and in close cooperation with National Livestock Specialist and of the Provincial Field Coordinator and in close cooperation with government counterpart officials, national and provincial authorities and in coordination with other international and national actors, the Livestock Field Liaison Officer shall:
- Serve as focal person for the project at district level and ensure proper and timely coordination with relevant line departments.
- assist in designing and conduct needs assessment surveys/questionnai res for the livestock sector for the areas targeted district by the project;
- collect and collate information on livestock conditions in the project areas;
- assist in the identification and preparation of lists of possible beneficiaries focusing on the most vulnerable families;
- Provide field technical support in response to the priority needs of targeted beneficiaries in close coordination/ consultation with Livestock department.
- Facilitate the implementation of the project activities. Share operational matters from the field for appropriate action, follows up on actions to ensure their completion, and inform management of the status of pending and completed actions.
- Monitor and provide support to the implementing partners;
- Oversee planning and delivery of inputs to the deserving beneficiaries and target locations;
- ensure monitoring and reporting of livestock interventions and provide inputs and assist in the preparation of reports including final report;
- assist and coordinate the implementing partner and line department in training sessions;
- Assist in designing of impact studies and compilation of best practices/lessons learned.
- perform other related duties, as assigned.
Note:
- Candidates from or having experience in the crisis affected districts will be given preference.
  Required Skills
1.Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
2.Ability to work independently, to organize and coordinate work; demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely in working languages.
