The HIV Young Leaders Fund is seeking applications for its regionalCommunity Review Panels. The goal of the HIV Young Leaders Fund (HYLF) small grants program is to enable new leadership in the HIV response among young people most-affected by HIV, including young people living with HIV. Proposals submitted to the HYLF are reviewed and scored by through a peer review system called Community Review Panels (CRPs). Applicants should be young leaders between the ages of 15 and 30 with experience working at the community level with young people most-affected by HIV. Deadline The deadline for all applications is May 1, 2010. About the CRPs Regional CRP members play a unique role within the HIV Young Leaders Fund. CRP members review grant applications and recommend proposals for funding. CRP membership is voluntary. CRP members are accountable to the partner organizations on the Interim Steering Committee, the HIV Young Leaders Fund Coordinator, Fund donors and young people served by the Fund. The term for CRP members is one year for the 2010 – 2011 funding cycle, with the option of serving a second term for the 2011 – 2012 funding cycle. During year one, the bulk of the CRP work will take place Mid-May 2010 – July 2010. After July 2010, members are expected to be available on email to give advice on regional grantee issues. Members must be proficient in English; fluency in a regional language is preferred. Three young leaders will be selected to serve on each regional CRP. Please submit these two forms, along with an updated resume or CV, and a letter of recommendation or support from the applicant's organization or a partner organization. This letter does not need to be long, but should describe the applicant's work in the community and reference why the applicant would be well suited to make funding decisions.
